A stellar cast of ex-Hawkwind types, playing Hawkwind songs, with a different take thatn recent Hawkwind lineups. Hawklords have less of a hard edge than Brock and Co., opting instead for lusher more rounded instrumentation. I like it both ways (said the actress to the bishop).
The show at Liverpool's O2 Academy kicked off their current tour, and it was a great night. The band was visibly moved at times by the audience reception (a lot of noise for a relatively small crowd) but they deserved all of it.
